Richard has been a practising physiotherapist for over ten years having graduated from Southampton University. He was reunited with his old friend, Peter in 2005 when he joined Grange Physiotherapy.
On graduating he spent the first four years consolidating his knowledge in the National Health in a variety of hospitals around country. From then he enjoyed a long term spell in professional football where he cultured his love for sport injuries.
Richard moved to Private Practice four years ago heading up Physiotherapy provision in a busy City Centre practice, then moving to the Grange. He continues to enjoy regular work in the acute sports sector as he runs physiotherapy for UWE mens football. For an interesting diversion he is as an injury correspondent for an international cycling magazine.
Two years ago Richard was selected to be physiotherapist on a British expedition to the Geomagnetic North Pole. The success of this has led to further expedition plans and the starting of carbonneutralexpeditions.com. Their maiden trip in 2007, a gruelling 4000 mile trip of sail and man power including a 1000 mile Greenland traverse on foot!
When not in the treatment room Richard will rarely be sat still. He enjoys mountain sports and competitive road cycling.
My love of the outdoors and keeping active means I understand your need to become injury free as soon as possible. I look forward to getting you on that path.
